vivo singing studio scholarship

Supporting the next stage of young performers
Applications:CLOSED

Supporting the next generation of performers

The Vivo Singing Studio Scholarship was created to support talented and committed young performers who may not otherwise have access to regular, high-quality vocal training due to financial or access barriers. The scholarship grew from the launch of the Vivo Singing Studio/Bawtry Arts Music Project Bursary in 2026 and from my own experience as a singer.

Throughout my career, I have been incredibly fortunate to have teachers and mentors who have invested their time, encouragement and belief in me, often giving far more than was ever expected. That support has played a huge part in my own development, and I wanted Vivo Singing Studio to begin giving something back in the same way.

The scholarship is a separate, studio-funded initiative designed to provide personalised vocal training and support to a young performer as they prepare for the next stage of their training.

What does the scholarship include?

The scholarship is tailored to the individual recipient and their training needs.

Support may include:

  • Regular one-to-one singing lessons

  • Technical vocal development

  • Audition repertoire preparation

  • Guidance with repertoire selection

  • Performance and interpretation work

  • Audition and application preparation

  • Mock audition preparation where appropriate

  • Ongoing guidance as students prepare for further performing arts training

  • Opportunities to take part in studio concerts and other performance opportunities where appropriate

The aim is to help each recipient develop the vocal technique, confidence and understanding needed to continue progressing as a performer, while preparing effectively for future auditions and training. Additional opportunities such as competitions, accompanist sessions or external coaching may also be explored where appropriate. Any external costs are not automatically included within the scholarship and will always be discussed in advance.

Who is the scholarship for?

The scholarship is intended for performers aged 15-21 who are preparing to audition for:

  • Sixth Form Performing Arts Schools or Colleges

  • Musical Theatre Degree Courses

  • Classical Vocal Degree Courses

  • Other suitable performing arts training where singing forms an important part of the applicant's development

Applicants should demonstrate potential, commitment and a genuine desire to develop, while also experiencing financial or access barriers that may make regular specialist vocal tuition difficult to access.

The scholarship is designed to create access to training where it can make a genuine difference. It is not simply awarded to the strongest singer or performer.

2026 Scholarship Recipient

I am delighted to announce Sienna Fletcher as the recipient of the inaugural Vivo Singing Studio Scholarship.

Sienna is currently preparing to audition for Sixth Form Performing Arts Schools and Colleges, and the scholarship will provide personalised vocal training and support as she works towards the next stage of her training.
